This two-day event will be held on October 5-6, 2010 in Karlsruhe, Germany, aimed at discussing the critical role of financial institutions in greening the economies and how these institutions can benefit from the \u201c3P approach\u201d \u2013 People, Planet, and Profit.<\/p>\n<p>The conference will: (a) share latest information on climate change mitigation (b) discuss the impact of climate change on the businesses and the financial industry and the emergence of the green economies and (c) provide networking opportunities to the delegates that leads to \u201cgreen\u201d cooperation between institutions in Europe and beyond. The event will also help establish a \u201cGreening Financial Institutions\u2019 Network\u201d \u2013 an online platform for sharing information and discussing the best initiatives and practices on greening financial institutions worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Karlsruhe is located on the Rhine River between the mountains of the Palatinate, the Vosges and the world-renowned Black Forest. Karlsruhe enjoys excellent air, rail and road links. Frankfurt International Airport, one the world\u2019s largest, is just an hour away by direct train. It is a cultural center and home to several museums including the largest cultural history museum in the region.
