The result of the exercise showed that the 5 DFIs scored above the benchmark of 80% considered as good performance. Moreover, the overall result of the review indicated that 10 DFIs scored marks below 65%, which was far below the benchmark of 80%.<\/p>\n<p>It should be recalled that the importance of the assessment which will now be undertaken every two years, is to identify areas of weaknesses in individual member-institutions with a view to taking corrective measures to address them.
