Mr. Bukuru, until his death, was the AADFI Regional Representative for Central Africa and Chief Executive Officer of the Banque Nationale pour le D\u00e9veloppement \u00c9conomique (BNDE).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-very-dark-black-color\">Mr. Audace Bukuru joined the Banque Nationale pour le D\u00e9veloppement \u00c9conomique (BNDE) in 1987 as an executive in the Credit Department and was appointed the Administrator and Chief Executive Officer of the institution in 2014. He was elected as the AADFI Alternate Regional Representative for Central Africa in 2015, and the Regional Representative in 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-very-dark-black-color\">Since he joined the AADFI Board, Mr. Audace Bukuru was a very active member always available to serve the cause of the Association. He contributed immensely to the growth of the AADFI and development finance in Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-very-dark-black-color\">The AADFI Board of Directors as well as the entire membership of AADFI express deep and heartfelt condolences to his family, the staff and management of BNDE, and the people of Burundi, and join in their prayers for the repose of Mr. Bukuru.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Abidjan, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, January 26, 2021 \u2014 The Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI) regrets to announce the passing on of Mr. Audace Bukuru on January 22, 2021.
