Brussels, Belgium, December 2, 2019 – The Secretary-General of the World Federation of Development Financing Institutions (WFDFI) and the Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI), Mr. Joseph Alfred Amihere, paid on December 2, 2019, a courtesy visit to the European Development Finance Institutions (EDFI) Management Company at its headquarters located at Rue de la Loi, 81A, B-1040 Brussels, Belgium. The visit took place after representing the WFDFI at the Climate Finance Day 2019 held on November 29, 2019, at Palais Brongniart, in Paris, France.
The visit aimed at expanding the networking opportunities of the World Federation by inviting the EDFI to join the WFDFI. It was part of the working visit program of the WFDFI/AADFI Chairman Mr. Thabo Thamane, Chief Executive Officer of the Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA), Botswana, which was adopted by the WFDFI Board of Governors (BOG) at their meeting held on October 18, 2019, in Washington D. C.
The WFDFI/AADFI Secretary-General was received by Mr. Søren Peter Andreasen, General Manager, EDFI, and Mr. Yves Ehlert, Senior Programme Manager, EDFI, with whom he held fruitful discussions lasting about 1h 30mn.
